Davi Brown, a realestate investor and treasurer at the Global Center for Advanced Studies,
after taking an Art-genuity class, she was interviewed and asked a couple questions about her experience.
The Interview
Art-genuity teacher:What did you value about the Art-genuity experience you had?"
Davi:Well, there was a lot of value to what I experienced. And I can go into many different facets of it, being I felt really comfortable with you both. And, I guess the biggest thing for me was, I think about things that I would like to do or I think about things that I’m capable of often. But rarely do I put the time attention and effort into one, bringing to mind and then having experiences of trying them on and maybe going through a visualization and imagining what the achievement of them would be like and feel like. And so I guess having that experience of my ideal of visualization, imagining and actually, you know, putting on that which I imagine is possible for myself and then creating something with my hands and my eyes and something physically that kind of maps out and symbolizes the experience I was able to see it and in a different way, instead of just rolling things around in my brain or mind. So going through this time of trying these things on and drawing them out and then literally putting a t-shirt on that I’ve made to symbolize my ideal, I was able to see what it looked like, feel what it felt like and even evaluate if it’s really what I wanted or not. And I’ve been wanting to, you know, articulate and identify ideals for myself for along time now because I think it’s very important to have in mind what your goals are because when your making decisions throughout the day there going to lead you somewhere ultimately and do you want to have direction of where they are leading you or not. And ultimately, if you would like to have any sort of direction you have to have some sort of image of where you like to go. And, this gave me the experience of feeling that and got me to a much further point in identifying what’s important to me, why, and what that might look like and what choices I have to make to experience it fully. So that’s a little bit of the value I received."
Would you recommend this experience?
Davi:I would definitely recommend it. It was fun, easy going and it was easy for me to recognize that the purpose and focus was on me achieving value from it. And I felt like there was a really high purpose behind it. And I felt guided and very cared for. And I felt really comfortable.
Art-genuity teacher:Do you feel like anyone needs a specific background? Or would this be accessible, could any one gain something from this experience?
Davi:Yeah, anyone and everyone could gain something from this experience. I think there are two ways. Hunter S Thompson says there are two ways to live life and one is kind of a meandering way and the other is creating a goal and an image and something that you would like to work towards. And so, I think it’s beneficial to try both ways life. But at some point, whichever way you want to work it, it’s a value to forecast and experiment. And imagine probable and improbable outcomes and kind of play with the laws of creation and your attention. So yeah, I think it’s valuable and fun for anyone. Especially groups of people I think would have a good time doing this together."
