Vision and Visuality: An Exploration into Rudimentary Drawing Part 1

What to Expect in the First Four Classes:
This set of eight classes provides an in-depth exploration into the fundamentals of drawing. The first four classes are dedicated to teaching visuality to become mindful about what you see, what is going on in the brain when one sees something, and how to use it to draw.
What to Expect in the Remaining Four Classes:
In the remaining four classes, we explore how to draw perspective, forms, and formless spaces. To do this, students are taught different drawing techniques, such as how to hold a pencil properly, and how to incorporate tones, shades, lines, angles, gestural lines, and much more into their art. By the time this class concludes, the student’s awareness about what they see and how to draw what they see will expand.

Painting Class 1

Overview:
This set of classes combines a comprehensive study on the fundamentals of oil and acrylic painting with the guidance from established guest artists. Many students are often turned away from painting because either someone informs them that there is no future in it or that painting techniques are too difficult to learn. This class teaches how to push past these barriers.
What to Expect:
We start off with four visiting artists who show their own work, tell their stories about overcoming creative difficulties, present what they’ve learned from using oils and acrylics, and explain how they use this learning in their careers. Next, the class ventures into nature and gazes upon its many horizons to begin learning how to paint what is seen as opposed to what is known. Students will walk away from this class with having learned about color temperature, Renoir’s feather technique, action and surreal painting techniques, how to set up design, how to blend with oils and water color techniques, and about possible painting careers to consider.

Pricing:
-
$150 for eight classes per person

Painting Class 2
Overview:
This 8-week class is dedicated to growing participants’ individual creative visual painting identities by providing them with all the resources they need.
What to Expect:

Furthermore, they are given opportunities to step out of their creative comfort zones to observe how their painting abilities change. This will provide the opportunity for them to expand their personal insight into their self. Lastly, at the end of the class, they are given the opportunity to display their work and talk about their own painting journeys.
